ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A wall-mounted receptacle for smoking material such as cigarettes includes a cylindrical inner container and a cylindrical sleeve which telescopically fits over, and can rotate on, the container, The container has diametrically opposed upper and lower side wall openings while the sleeve has a single side wall opening. In normal use the sleeve opening is in registry with the upper container opening and smoking material may be placed into the container through the registered upper openings. When the receptacle is to be emptied the sleeve is rotated until its opening registers with the lower opening of the container whereby refuse may be removed through the registered lower openings. The receptacle is inexpensive, decorative, and is especially useful in "no-smoking" areas as it prevents the retrieval of the smoking material after deposit therein.
