ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A wall mounting system for mounting an object on a wall. The system comprises a shock absorbing adhesive element fixed to the object and having an adhesive surface for adhering to the wall, and one or more downwardly inclined mounting apertures. Each mounting aperture extends into the object and is configured to engage a shank of a respective hanger means. Each mounting aperture is configured and disposed such that, when the adhesive surface abuts the wall, the shank of a respective hanger means is engageable therein for obliquely engaging the wall so as to mount the object on the wall.
