ABSTRACT A fixing in a wall (1) is made by drilling a hole (2), inserting the pin (3) of a nozzle (4) mounted on a hot melt gun (7) into the hole (2) and injecting molten polypropylene into the space between the pin (3) and the hole (2). The polypropylene is allowed to solidify and the nozzle (4) is removed leaving a wall plug ready for the insertion of a screw. Three embodiments of a nozzle especially adapted for use in this process are described.
