ABSTRACT In its preferred form the invention comprises a wall tie for binding a masonry or glass 'veneer' wall to a support frame, having a first attachment plate by which it may be fixed to such a support frame, and a second attachment plate by which it may be fixed to such a veneer wall, said plates being linked by connector systems which are substantially inextensible along one axis, but which give freedom of movement of one said plate relative to the other in a plane normal to said axis.
