A wallet (1) far the safe disposal of sharp implements including a closeable cover member (2). Implement receiving means (7) is provided on the cover member to receive at least one sharp implement. When one or more sharp implements are received in the receiving means (7), the cover member (2) can be closed over the receiving means (7) to hold the implements in the wallet(1). The cover member (2) may comprise first and second portions (, 6). At least the first portion (4) may define a recess (8) in which the implement receiving means (7) is arranged. Each of the first and second portions (4, 6) may include inner and outer parts. Each outer part is in the form of a flange (22, 24) which are adapted to engage each other when the cover member (21) is closed. A hinge member (20, 126) may extend outwardly from, the cover member (2). A part of the second portion (6) arranged over the implement receiving means (7) may be formed of a transparent material.
