A wand for a domestic appliance (e.g. vacuum cleaner) comprises a plurality of tubes (10, 20, 30, 40) which are dimensioned to telescope inside one another. Each tube (10, 20, 30, 40) is associated with a securing mechanism (15, 25, 35) for securing the tube in an extended position with respect to another of the tubes. Adjacent securing mechanisms (15, 25, 35) are positioned on their respective tubes such that, when the tubes are retracted, one securing mechanism presses against another to release the other securing mechanism. Thus, a user does not need to separately operate each securing mechanism (15, 25, 35) when extending the wand. Also, the tubes automatically secure themselves in an extended position with respect to one another. A hook (550) on the widest tube (10') cooperates with a collar (610) on the narrowest tube (40') to retain the tubes in a stored position.
Cette invention concerne un tube-rallonge pour appareil électroménager (tel qu'un aspirateur) comportant une pluralité de tubes (10, 20, 30, 40) dimensionnés en mode télescopique de manière à pouvoir être introduits les uns dans les autres. Chacun des tubes (10, 20, 30, 40) est associé à un mécanisme de fixation (15, 25, 35) servant à fixer le tube dans une position sortie par rapport à un autre tube. Les mécanismes de fixation adjacents (15, 25, 35) sont positionnés sur leurs tubes respectifs de sorte que, lorsque les tubes sont en position rétractée, l'un des mécanismes de fixation exerce une pression contre un autre mécanisme afin de libérer l'autre mécanisme de fixation. De ce fait, un utilisateur n'est pas contraint d'actionner séparément chacun des mécanismes de fixation (15, 25, 35) lorsqu'il étend le tube-rallonge. En outre, les tubes se fixent eux-mêmes en position sortie les uns par rapport aux autres. Un crochet (550), situé sur le tube le plus large (10'), coopère avec une bague (610) située sur le tube le plus étroit (40') afin que les tubes soient maintenus en position rentrée.
