The present invention includes compositions for imparting a controlled-release warming sensation to the oral receptor areas of a user. The oral, controlled- release warming compositions include a warming agent and a hydrated or swollen food-grade polymer which forms a matrix with the warming agent. Also included are oral delivery systems for the warming compositions, methods for preparing same, and methods for imparting and sustaining a warming sensation in the mouth and upper portion of the gastrointestinal tract of the user.
La présente invention concerne des compositions permettant de conférer une sensation de réchauffement à libération contrôlée aux zones de réception buccales d'un utilisateur. Ces compositions buccales de réchauffement à libération contrôlée renferment un agent de réchauffement et un polymère alimentaire gonflé ou hydraté qui forme une matrice avec l'agent de réchauffement. Ladite invention a aussi pour objet des systèmes d'administration buccales des compositions de réchauffement, des méthodes de préparation associées et des méthodes de génération et de maintien d'une sensation de réchauffement dans la bouche et dans la partie supérieure du tube digestif de l'utilisateur.
