The invention consists of a warning device juxtaposed over a fishing rod to signal when a fish strikes and, at the same time, release the line in order to let it spool out freely. The device includes a case and a stem with a warning flag mounted on it that can be bent back and held in a more or less horizontal position, when a retaining pin is folded down over the flag stem and wedged between a release support and a pivoting release which is fitted with a hook. When a fish strikes, it pulls on the line which is threaded through the hook in the release; the cocked mechanism is triggered and the stem upon which the flag is attached is released, bringing the stem back up into a vertical position and, at the same time, completely releasing the monofilament fishing line from the release hook and thus allowing the line to spool out freely from the fishing rod.
L'invention consiste en un avertisseur juxtaposé à une canne à pêche signalant que le poisson a mordu et, qui dégage en même temps le fil de l'appareil pour le laisser dérouler librement. L'appareil comprend un boîtier et une tige munie d'un drapeau avertisseur pouvant être arqué et retenu en position à peu près horizontale, lorsque la tige de retenue est rabattue par dessus la tige du drapeau pour aller se coincer entre le support du déclencheur et le déclencheur pivotant muni d'un crochet. Lorsque le poisson mord, il tire sur la ligne passée dans le crochet du déclencheur, le mécanisme armé sous tension se déclenche, libère la tige du drapeau forçant celle-ci à remonter en position verticale et libérant du même coup complètement le monofilament du crochet du déclencheur laissant dérouler le fil de la canne à pêche librement.
