ABSTRACT There is provided a new and useful invention relating to a warning light of predetermined beam direction and pattern comprising a base member adapted to be connected to a source of electrical energy, the base member including electrical connections for conducting the energy from the source to an array of light emitting diodes (LED's) secured to the base. The LED's are arranged individually or in clusters and a lens is placed in front of each individual LED or cluster to provide a beam of selected angle and direction. Perceived from a distance, the beams overlap to provide the appearance of a substantially unitary light source having a beam spread determined by the arrangement of the LED's or LED clusters.
