A warp-knit casting bandage fabric is provided which comprises a first group of a plurality of individual continuous multifilament fiberglass yarns (10) which form lengthwise extending chains of spaced-apart loops and a second group of a plurality of individual continuous multifilament fiberglass yarns (16) which are separately interspersed with a plurality of individual continuous thermoplastic yarns (14) forming a widthwise extending and lengthwise spaced-apart inlay which is interlaced with the spaced-apart loops forming an open-knit construction wherein the continuous thermoplastic yarns comprise from about 50 % to about 100 % of the total number of individual yarns forming the inlay. An elongated, resin-impregnated bandage, having a leading edge and a trailing edge, made from the warp-knit casting bandage fabric is also provided as well as a method for forming such resin-impregnated bandages.
Tissu à mailles jetées pour pansements de plâtres, comportant un premier groupe d'une pluralité de fils (10) multifilaments continus et individuels en fibres de verre formant des chaînes longitudinales de boucles espacées, et un second groupe d'une pluralité de fils (16) multifilaments continus et individuels en fibres de verre entre lesquels sont intercalés une pluralité de fils thermoplastiques (14) continus et individuels formant des trames transversales espacées dans le sens longitudinal et entrelacées avec les boucles espacées, de manière à former une structure à mailles ouvertes dans laquelle les fils thermoplastiques continus constituent de 50 à 100 % environ du nombre total de fils individuels formant les trames. On a également prévu un pansement allongé imprégné de résine, présentant un bord antérieur et un bord supérieur et étant fabriqué à partir du tissu à mailles jetées précité, ainsi qu'un procédé de formation de pansements imprégnés de résine du type précité.
