ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The tool is used for straightening a warped joist disposed adjacent to other joists in a building. The tool is provided with a bar having a pair of clamps slidable along the bar for engaging the joists on opposite sides of the warped joist. The bar is provided with a cross-bar having a pair of holes for receipt of lag bolts. Upon rotation, the lag bolts connect the tool with the warped joist and draw it toward the tool thereby straightening the warped joist. The tool is also useful for straightening warped studs and trusses.
