This exhaust air duct is insulated and ultra-light, and can be manufactured with an insulating material of the "THERMO-FOILTM" type, thereby avoiding heat and moist air losses. The insulating sheet is folded to fit the form and dimensions required for the duct. The manufacturing method typically consists of five steps in processing the "THERMO-FOILTM", for example for a rectangular section air exhaust duct, as follows: (1) cut a sheet of "THERMO-FOILTM"; (2) seal the outer edge of the "THERMO-FOILTM" sheet; (3) using heat, form grooves in the "THERMO-FOILTM" sheet; (4) join the edges of the "THERMO-FOILTM" sheet to make it into a continuous duct consisting of a segment of a certain length; and (5) install a vertical reinforcement lengthwise on the segment, and a male adaptor at one end of the segment to adapt it to the other end of the segment.
