A feed shaft (14) for waste (A) is laterally connected to a conveyor channel (10). A worm (4) is located longitudinally of this conveyor channel (10). According to the invention, a cutting device is provided between the worm (4) and the conveyor channel (10), especially at the corner (24) to the feed shaft (14). The cutting device comprises a first metal cutter (20), which is disposed on the worm (4), and optionally a second metal cutter (22), which is secured to the feed shaft (14).
