The present invention relates to a process for treating wastewater that includes the steps of:- a contact step, wherein wastewater contacts bacteria retained on a support surface and the dissolved oxygen concentration of the wastewater is maintained at 2.0mg/1 or less; an aeration step, wherein gas is passed through wastewater that has passed through the contact step and the dissolved oxygen concentration of the wastewater is reduced as the wastewater passes through the aeration step; a sedimentation step, wherein wastewater that has passed through the aeration step is substantially separated into treated water and sludge; and a sludge recycling step, wherein sludge from the sedimentation step is passed to the contact step. The invention also relates to a processing unit on which the aforementioned process may be operated.
La présente invention porte sur un procédé pour traiter les eaux usées, qui comprend les étapes suivantes : - une étape de contact, dans laquelle des eaux usées viennent en contact avec des bactéries retenues sur une surface de support, et la concentration en oxygène dissous des eaux usées est maintenue à 2,0 mg/l ou moins; une étape d'aération, dans laquelle on fait passer un gaz à travers des eaux usées qui ont été soumises à l'étape de contact, et la concentration en oxygène dissous des eaux usées est réduite lorsque les eaux usées sont soumises à l'étape d'aération; une étape de sédimentation, dans laquelle les eaux usées qui ont été soumises à l'étape d'aération sont sensiblement séparées en eau traitée et en boue; et une étape de recyclage de boue, dans laquelle une boue venant de l'étape de sédimentation est transmise à l'étape de contact.
