A wastewater treatment system is disclosed for treating wastewater containing organic and/or inorganic materials. The system incorporates a combination of interconnected anaerobic and aerobic bio-reactors intermediate a septic tank and a drainage field. Means are provided for aerating the aerobic chambers and each chamber in the system includes a large number of media filters or bacteria starters.
