Elle comprend de 40 à 60% en moles d'acide acrylique, le cas échéant au moins partiellement salifié, et de 60 à 40% en moles d'au moins un dialkylaminoalkyl acrylate, le cas échéant au moins partiel lement salifié ou quaternisé. Elle est fabriquée par copolymérisation, soit en solution aqueuse soit en émulsion inverse, en présence d'au moins un générateur de radicaux libres. Application à l'obtention d'articles capables d'absorber des fluides aqueux.
