A water- and oil-repellent composition which is so stable as not to cause settling for a prolonged period can be prepared by mixing a water- and oil- repellent with a blocked isocyanate emulsion comprising a blocked isocyanate, a surfactant and a liquid medium wherein the weight ratio of the blocked isocyanate to the surfactant ranges from 60:40 to 90:10 and the particles of the emulsion have a mean diameter of 250 nm or below.
On prépare une composition hydrophobe et oléophobe, dont le caractère stable empêche toute sédimentation pendant une durée prolongée, en mélangeant un constituant hydrophobe et oléophobe à une émulsion d'isocyanate bloqué contenant un isocyanate bloqué, un tensioactif et un véhicule liquide, le rapport de poids entre l'isocyanate bloqué et le tensioactif étant situé dans une plage de 60:40 à 90:10 et les particules de l'émulsion possédant un diamètre moyen égal ou inférieur à 250 nm.
