A method of cleaning a wellbore prior to the production of oil or gas is disclosed, wherein the wellbore has been drilled with an invert emulsion drilling mud that forms an invert emulsion filter cake. The method may include the steps of circulating a breaker fluid into the wellbore, where the breaker fluid includes an aqueous fluid, a water soluble polar organic solvent, a hydrolysable ester of a carboxylic acid, and a weighting age, and where the hydrolysable ester is selected so that upon hydrolysis an organic acid is released and the invert emulsion of the filter cake breaks.
L'invention concerne un procédé de nettoyage d'un puits de forage mis en oeuvre avant la production de pétrole ou de gaz, le puits de forage ayant été foré au moyen d'une boue de forage à émulsion inverse qui forme un gâteau de filtration à émulsion inverse. Le procédé selon l'invention peut consister à faire circuler un fluide casseur dans le puits de forage, ce fluide casseur contenant un fluide aqueux, un solvant organique polaire hydrosoluble, un ester hydrolysable d'acide carboxylique et un alourdissant, l'ester hydrolysable étant choisi de sorte que, lors de l'hydrolyse, un acide organique soit libéré et que l'émulsion inverse du gâteau de filtration se casse.
