ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Water-base epoxy resin compositions comprising (a) a liquid grade epoxy resin, (b) an adduct of a water soluble polyamide, [e.g., reaction product of a polycarboxylic acid and a polyamine/poly(oxyalkylene) amine] with a liquid grade epoxy resin, e.g., a diglycidylether of bis-phenol A, and (c) zinc dust of fine particle size. Such compositions are useful as coatings (primers) having high durability and excellent corrosion resistance.
