The invention relates to an ink composition for marking objects incorporating at least a binder, a pigment and/or a dye and a solvent essentially consist- ing of water, characterized in that the binder comprises the combination of a polymer resin in dispersion and a water-soluble polymer resin, preferably obtained by neutralization to make it soluble for at least part of the carboxyl groups carried by a water-insoluble polymer. The invention also relates to a process for marking objects by projecting or spraying ink onto said objects and a substrate provided with a marking obtained by drying the ink composition.
