A compositions comprising a self-crosslinkable aqueous dispersion of a polyurethane polymer having pendant auto-oxidizable functional groups is disclosed, said composition obtainable by reacting: (a) an organic polyisocyanate; (b) an isocyanate reactive compound containing pendant fatty acid unsaturation; (c) an isocyanate reactive polymeric polyol containing neutralizable pendant carboxylic acid groups; and (d) a reactive diluent containing at least two polymerizable, ethylenically unsaturated double bonds. The obtained polyurethane dispersion is suitable for application in self- curing coating compositions.

L'invention concerne une composition comprenant une dispersion aqueuse auto-réticulable d'un polymère polyuréthane ayant des groupes fonctionnels auto-oxydables pendants. Ladite composition peut être obtenue par réaction (a) d'un polyisocyanate organique; (b) d'un composé réactif à l'isocyanate contenant une insaturation en acide gras pendante; (c) d'un polyol polymère réactif à l'isocyanate contenant des groupes d'acide carboxylique pendant neutralisable; et (d) d'un diluant réactif contenant au moins deux liaisons doubles polymérisables éthyléniquement insaturées. La dispersion polyuréthane obtenue peut s'appliquer dans des compositions de revêtement autodurcissantes.
