The present invention is directed to improved aqueous based pressure sensitive adhesive emulsion polymers. Conventional emulsion based pressure sensitive adhesives are comprised of a copolymer comprised of polymerized units of acrylic esters and ethylenically unsaturated monomers, the copolymer having a Tg of from -15 to-70°C. The improvement in the aqueous based, emulsion polymerized pressure sensitive adhesives resides in the incorporation of a vinyl C8-13 ester of a neo-acid into the copolymer present in the pressure sensitive adhesives. Such vinyl ester is formed from a mixture of propylene oligomers and such vinyl ester is represented by thechemical formula: C8-13H17-27C02GH=CH2 N:\RLB\186P5499.apl
La présente invention porte sur des polymères en émulsion améliorés pour adhésif sensible à la pression (autocollant) aqueux. Les adhésifs en émulsion autocollants traditionnels sont constitués d'un copolymère comprenant des unités polymérisées d'esters d'acrylique et de monomères à insaturations éthyléniques, le copolymère ayant une Tg de -15 à -70 degrés C. L'amélioration touchant les adhésifs autocollants polymérisés en émulsion réside dans l'incorporation d'un ester de vinyle en C8-C13 d'un néo-acide dans le copolymère présent dans les adhésifs sensibles à la pression.
