ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In a water closet combination the pan unit may be used separately, and the cistern placed on the pan unit is fixed to the rear of the pan unit. The cistern has part of its base forming a setting-down surface resting on an upper supporting surface of the pan unit, the upper supporting surface of the pan unit being an extension of the rear support surface of the pan unit with the setting-down surface of the cistern projecting from a downwardly directed fastening flange of the cistern.
