The invention relates to a water cooled transport roller for a roller-hearth kiln, comprising a cylindrical base body (1), a thermal insulation (2) on the outer periphery of the base body and a cooling water conduit (3) placed in a central position in the base body. The cooling water can be fed through the conduit (3) at an end of the base body which is rotationally arranged; it then passes through the conduit and flows back through an annular chamber (4) located between the conduit and the base body after a change in direction on the exit side of the conduit. A shaft (5) which is fixed to the base body exhibits a cavity for receiving the water input end of the conduit, a central bore (7) aligned with the rotation axis of the base body, for feeding the cooling water, as well as drain channels for draining the water backflow, which run into a water collecting chamber. The shaft (5) is rotationally connected to a water distributing head (11) for feeding the central bore (7) with cooling water and extracting the water backflow from the collecting chamber.

L'invention concerne un rouleau de transport refroidi par eau destiné à un four à rouleaux, comportant un corps de base cylindrique (1), une isolation thermique (2) sur la périphérie extérieure du corps de base, et un conduit (3) d'eau de refroidissement disposé de manière centrée dans le corps de base.
