A flexible water deflector member for removable insertion into a socket formed in the base of a dishwasher tub adjacent one edge of the door of the dishwasher, comprises a main body having a resilient plug removably insertable in the socket. The plug is hollow so as to facilitate insertion and removal from the socket with an interference fit. There is a flexible deflector portion extending in a cantilevered manner from the plug. This deflector portion generally defines a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the plug.
