ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A water dispenser for livestock, particularly pigs, has a hollow mouthpiece activated by the animal. The mouth- piece projects from a casing and is tiltable relative to the casing axis. Water released from a valve passes into the mouthpiece, whose rear portion co-operates with an axially- movable, spring-loaded valve plunger in order to regulate the water supply. The rear portion of the mouthpiece and the plunger foot are each internally provided at mutually-opposite points with a disc, radial to the points. The discs are of identical or nearly identical diameter, with tilting of the mouthpiece causing movement of the disc of the plunger foot so as to activate the valve plunger. Both discs are surrounded by a common guide-ring, and an annular seal located on the mouthpiece is mounted between two ring inserts which have an inwardly-directed collar.
