The invention pertains a water dispersible, preferably a powder composition consisting of water extractible bioactive components of exclusively fruit or vegetable or plant origin obtainable by a process which comprises: a) subjecting a selected fruit or vegetable or plant material to homogenisation in weak alkaline conditions and at moderate temperature; b) separating the liquid extract from the homogenised mass and subsequently bringing it to neutrality; and c) eventually concentrating or drying, preferably freeze drying the neutralized liquid extract. The composition can be used as primary composition in the preparation of e.g. a food product for oral administration, a food supplement, a pet food product, a pet food supplement, a cosmetic preparation or a pharmaceutical preparation.
L'invention concerne une composition dispersible dans l'eau, de préférence en poudre, constituée de composants bioactifs extractibles dans l'eau ayant exclusivement pour origine des fruits ou des légumes ou des plantes et qu'on peut obtenir par un procédé qui comprend : a) de soumettre une matière de fruit ou de légume ou de plante sélectionnée à une homogénéisation dans des conditions faiblement alcalines et à une température modérée ; b) de séparer l'extrait liquide de la masse homogénéisée et de l'amener à la suite de cela à la neutralité ; et c) enfin de concentrer ou sécher, de préférence de lyophiliser l'extrait liquide neutralisé. On peut utiliser la composition comme composition principale dans la préparation, par exemple, d'un produit alimentaire pour administration orale, d'un complément alimentaire, d'un produit alimentaire pour les animaux de compagnie, d'un complément alimentaire pour les animaux de compagnie, d'une préparation cosmétique ou d'une préparation pharmaceutique.
