The invention relates to a process for producing a binder BM for coating agents consisting of (A) 1 to 99.9 wt.% of an epoxy resin and (B) 0.1 to 99 wt.% of a copolymer of vinyl acetate and at least one other component selected from the group comprising vinyl alcohol, alkyl vinyl acetal and ethylene, in which the component (A) and (B) of the binder BM are intensively mixed in a solvent and/or the melt, preferably in the presence of epoxy ring-opening catalysts, before incorporation in the coating agent. The invention also relates to the use of the binder BM of the invention as a component of electrophoretic paints and the use of such electrophoretic paints for coating electrically conductive substrates and for producing multi-coat painted structures.
L'invention concerne un procédé de production de liant BM pour agents de revêtement, comprenant (A) 1 à 99,9 % en poids d'une résine époxyde, et (B) 0,1 à 99 % en poids d'un copolymère d'acetate de vinyle et d'au moins un autre composant choisi dans le groupe comprenant l'alcool vinylique, l'acétal d'alkylvinyle et l'éthylène, procédé dans lequel les composants (A) et (B) du liant BM sont mélangés énergiquement, avant leur utilisation dans l'agent de revêtement, dans un solvant et/ou dans la masse fondue, de préférence en présence de catalyseurs d'ouverture de cycle époxy. L'invention concerne en outre l'utilisation des liants BM précités, comme constituants de peintures pour trempage électrophorétique, ainsi que l'utilisation de ces peintures pour le revêtement de susbtrats conducteurs électriques et pour la production de structures revêtues de peintures multicouches.
