A water distillation apparatus includes a cylindrical housing with a first cover thereon, a pair of spaced apart funnel-shaped partitions, a second cover on the uppermost partition and a skirt extending downwardly from the periphery of the cover and the uppermost partition to a location above the bottom of the housing, the partitions and skirt dividing the interior of the housing into an inlet reservoir chamber for cold water above the first partition, a lower boiling chamber beneath the second partition and an inclined condensation passage between the partitions. Cold water is introduced through a pipe and solenoid valve into the bottom of the reservoir chamber for overflow through an opening in the second cover into the boiling chamber. A heater in the boiling chamber heats the water to produce steam which rises, passing into the condensation passage and flowing downwardly to a central drain for discharge into a distilled water reservoir beneath the housing. An overflow pipe connects the top of the casing to the drain so that during filling of the inlet reservoir chamber, the bulk of the water overflows from the reservoir chamber to the drain to flush deposits from the housing.
Appareil à distiller l'eau comportant un corps cylindrique doté d'un premier couvercle, une paire de cloisons espacées en forme d'entonnoir, un deuxième couvercle placé sur la cloison supérieure, une jupe disposée à la périphérie du couvercle et de la cloison supérieure et dont le bord inférieur n'atteint pas le fond du corps cylindrique; les cloisons et la jupe divisent l'intérieur du corps cylindrique en chambre d'admission et réservoir d'eau froide, au-dessus de la première cloison, en chambre d'ébullition, sous la deuxième cloison, et en passage pour la condensation sur un plan incliné entre les cloisons. L'eau froide est introduite dans le fond de la chambre d'admission par un tuyau d'amenée commandé par un électrorobinet jusqu'au déversement du trop-plein dans la chambre d'ébullition à travers un orifice pratiqué dans le deuxième couvercle. Un élément chauffant placé dans la chambre d'ébullition chauffe l'eau pour produire de la vapeur; la vapeur monte et pénètre dans le passage de condensation pour s'écouler vers le bas vers un drain central pour déversement dans un réservoir à eau distillée situé sous le corps cylindrique. Un tuyau de trop-plein relie la partie supérieure de la cuve au drain central de sorte que lors du remplissage du réservoir d'admission, le trop-plein d'eau soit acheminé vers le drain central aux fins de rinçage et d'évacuation des dépôts.
