A counter top water filter for domestic use which includes a housing, a removable unfiltered water reservoir, a motor, a pump, a removable filter cartridge containing a filtration element and a filtered water outlet, wherein water is pumped from the reservoir, through the filtration element and is dispensed out the filtered water outlet.
