ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An improved mechanisim for a water heater flushing of sediment from the bottom of tank diverts inlet water through an auxiliary tube directed to the bottom of the tank. Thus, when a spigot is opened at the bottom of the tank and water is simulataneously diverted through the flush tube, sediment can efficiently be removed from the tank.
