A water-proof device for a plug, comprising a plug formed with a circumferential groove, and a water-proof cover having a stopping edge defining an opening in an inner side wall, the water-proof cover having an inner short circumferential wall and an outer long circumferential wall both extending from the inner side wall, the stopping edge engaging the circumferential groove of the plug, the inner short wall closely contacting with the outer surface of the Plug, the outer long wall closely contacting with the surface of a receptacle into which the plug is inserted, preventing water from flowing or immersing into the receptacle and the plug so that electric short can be avoided.
Cette invention concerne une garniture d'étanchéité pour fiche électrique comportant une rainure circonférentielle dans le bloc porte-broches. La garniture d'étanchéité comporte un premier côté ouvert, un rebord de l'ouverture s'adaptant dans la rainure circonférentielle du bloc porte-broches. Cette première ouverture est délimitée par une paroi intérieure de faible largeur moulée sur la face intérieure de la garniture. Une deuxième ouverture du côté opposé à la première est définie par une deuxième paroi, extérieure à la première et plus large, également moulée sur la face intérieure de la garniture. La paroi intérieure de la garniture s'adapte étroitement autour du bloc porte-broches de la fiche tandis que la paroi extérieure de la garniture se plaque contre la façade de la prise électrique de façon à empêcher les pénétrations d'eau et les court-circuits qui peuvent s'ensuivre.
