Water redispersible powder of film-forming polymers that are water insoluble and prepared by polymerization in an aqueous emulsion of ethylenically unsaturated monomers with a core/shell structure including a hydrophobic core structure of a polymer having a Tg (glass transition temperature) of - 30 to + 25 ~C, and preferably - 10 to + 20 ~C and a hydrophilic shell of a polymer having a Tg above + 55 ~C, and preferably above + 90 ~C. The invention is characterized in that the shell is linked to the core by covalent bonds resulting from the reaction of a shell grafting agent on the ethylenic unsaturations remaining in the core, and is substantially insoluble in an alkaline medium.
La présente invention concerne une poudre redispersable dans l'eau à base de polymères filmogènes sensiblement insolubles dans l'eau et préparés par polymérisation en émulsion aqueuse de monomères à insaturation éthylénique à structure "c?ur/écorce" comprenant un coeur hydrophobe à base d'un polymère présentant une Tg (température de transition vitreuse) comprise entre - 30 et + 25 °C de préférence entre - 10 et + 20 °C et une écorce hydrophile à base d'un polymère présentant une Tg supérieure à + 55 °C, de préférence supérieure à + 90 °C, caractérisée en ce que l'écorce est liée au c?ur par des liaisons covalentes résultant de la réaction d'un agent de greffage de l'écorce sur les insaturations éthyléniques subsistant dans le coeur, et est sensiblement insoluble en milieu alcalin.
