Abstract: The invention provides a catalyst for gas/liquid reactions, characterized by having a sheet or film-form water-repellent porous carrier having gas permeability and liquid impermeability and a catalytically active component supported on at least one surface of the carrier. The use of such a carrier facilitates the formation of gas/liquid/ solid interfaces that enhance the reaction between the liquid and the gas, e.g. a reaction for enriching heavy water by the isotopic exchange reaction between water and hydrogen gas.
