AECI 576 ABSTRACT "Water-Resistant ANFO Explosive" The invention provides an ammonium nitrate/fuel oil (ANFO-type) explosive in which the ammonium nitrate comprises ammonium nitrate prills and ammonium nitrate powder. The prills form at least 30% by mass of the ammonium nitrate, the powder forms at least 20% by mass of the ammonium nitrate, and the average particle size of the prills is at least 5 times greater than the average particle size of the powder.
