The present invention is directed to a composition comprising (A) polyvinyl alcohol having an amino group connected to a phenyl group and (B) at least one water resistance-imparting agent selected from polyepoxy compound, aldehyde compound, polyisocyanate compound, and water-soluble oxidizing agent. It exhibits outstanding water resistance even when used at room temperature. It finds use as a woodworking adhesive, plywood adhesive, and two-part instantaneous adhesive which needs no heating to cure.

La présente invention concerne une composition comprenant (A) un poly(alcool de vinyle) portant un groupe amino lié à un groupe phényle et (B) au moins un agent conférant une résistance à l'eau choisi parmi les composés à base de polyépoxyde, d'aldéhyde, de polyisocyanate et d'agent oxydant hydrosoluble. La composition se caractérise par une résistance à l'eau exceptionnelle même lorsqu'elle est employée à la température de la pièce. Elle trouve des applications comme colle de menuisier, adhésif pour contreplaqué et adhésif instantané à deux constituants qui n'a pas besoin de chaleur pour durcir.
