A high molecular-weight water-soluble polymer dispersion, having a bulk Brookfield viscosity of from about 10 to about 25,000 cps at 25 degrees Celsius, comprising from about 5 to about 50 weight percent of a water-soluble polymer prepared by polymerizing, under free-radical forming conditions in an aqueous medium of a water-soluble salt in the presence of a stabilizer at a pH greater than 5, 0-30 mole percent of acrylic acid and 0-100 mole percent of acrylamide; wherein the stabilizer is an anionic water-soluble polymer having an intrinsic viscosity in 1M NaNO3 of from about 0.1-10 and comprises from about 0.1 to about 5 weight percent; and wherein the water-soluble salt is selected from the group consisting of ammonium, alkali metal and alkali earth metal halides, sulfates, and phosphates and comprises 5 to about 40 weight percent of the total weight of the dispersion.
L'invention concerne une dispersion polymère hydrosoluble de poids moléculaire élevé, présentant une viscosité Brookfield de masse comprise entre environ 10 à environ 25, 000 cps à 25 DEG C, et contenant environ 5 à environ 50 % en poids d'un polymère hydrosoluble préparé par polymérisation dans des conditions de réaction radicalaire dans un milieu aqueux constitué d'un sel hydrosoluble, en présence d'un stabilisant, à un pH supérieur à 5, 0-30 % en mole d'acide acrylique et 0-100 % en mole d'acrylamide. Le stabilisant est un polymère hydrosoluble anionique présentant une viscosité intrinsèque dans 1M NaNO3 comprise entre environ 0,1 et 10, et représente environ 0,1 à environ 5 % en poids ; le sel hydrosoluble est choisi dans le groupe constitué d'ammonium, de métal alcalin et d'halogénures de métaux alcalino-terreux, de sulfates et de phosphates et représente environ 5 à 40 % en poids du poids total de la dispersion.
