Abstract of the Disclosure Water-soluble cerium salts and compositions containing the same have been found to be useful in the treatment of burns, such as by the application of an aqueous solution of a water-soluble cerium salt to the burn surface. Particularly useful in burn therapy is the combination of a water-soluble cerium salt, such as cerous nitrate, with silver sulfadiazine.
