Dyes of the formula (1): Image in which M is hydrogen, ammonium, an alkali metal or the equivalent of an alkaline earth metal; X is sulfonyl or -COCH2O-; R1, R2 and R3 independently of one another are hydrogen, halogen, for example fluorine, chlorine or bromine, unsubstituted or chloro- or hydroxy-substituted C1 to C4 alkoxy, for example 2-chloroethoxy or 2-hydroxyethoxy, and the sulfo group is in position 3 or 4 to the NH group, their preparation, and their use for dyeing or printing carboxamido-containing materials.
