The present invention relates to water-soluble and/or water-dis- persible graft polymers of a polyurethane prepolymer having ter- minal isocyanate groups and a protein containing free amino groups, and the salts thereof. The novel graft polymers can be used as auxiliaries in cos- metology, and especially as hairsetting compositions having enhanced washing out properties.
