Abstract of the Disclosure Water-soluble trisazo dyestuffs of high tinctorial strength having the general formula I M-N=N-Z-N=N-B (I) wherein M denotes a radical of the formula Image or Image which can additionally carry further substituents, Z denotes the divalent radical of 2-phenyl-benz- imidazol, -thiazol- or exazol, A and A' denote the radical of a diazo component and B denotes the radical of a coupling component having at least one sulpho or carboxyl group and sulpho and/or carboxyl groups which can also be present in the salt form and their copper complexes. The new dyestuffs are produced by diazotizing and coupling reactions known per as and, optionally, subsequent coppering. They directly dye hydroxyl groups or nitrogen-containing fibre materials full shades with excellent fastness properties.
