The present invention relates to a method and system for water removal and optionally liquid product separation in slurry reactors operating at Fischer- Tropsch conditions. More particularly, the present invention includes a water stripping system that allows the reaction water to the stripped in an external vessel, with a relatively high rate of catalyst and wax circulation. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a method for removing water from a slurry reactor containing a water-rich slurry includes removing a portion of water-rich slurry from the slurry reactor, stripping water from the water-rich slurry using a dry gas to form a water-reduced slurry and a water- rich gas stream, and returning the water-reduced slurry back to the reactor.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un système d'élimination de l'eau et éventuellement de séparation de produit liquide dans des réacteurs à suspension sous conditions de synthèse Fischer-Tropsch. Elle concerne, plus particulièrement, un système de stripage d'eau permettant le stripage de l'eau de réaction dans un réacteur externe, avec un taux de circulation de catalyseur et de cire relativement élevés. Dans un mode de réalisation, l'invention concerne un procédé d'élimination de l'eau d'un réacteur à suspension contenant une suspension riche en eau qui consiste à éliminer une portion de suspension riche en eau du réacteur à suspension, à réaliser un stripage de l'eau sur la suspension riche en eau au moyen d'un gaz sec afin de former une suspension à teneur réduite en eau et un courant gazeux riche en eau, et à renvoyer la suspension à teneur réduite en eau dans le réacteur.
