The inventive water processing device for producing drinking water comprises a substantially cylindrical housing, means (2) for introducing a treatable water and means (3) for discharging the treated water which interact with the housing (1), and a plurality of means forming UV lamps (4), wherein said device is characterised in that said UV lamp forming means are arranged inside said housing in such a way that the longitudinal axes of at least several of them form a non-zero and different from 90~ angle with the longitudinal axis of the substantially cylindrical housing (1).

Dispositif pour le traitement de l'eau en vue de sa potabilisation présentant un carter (1) essentiellement cylindrique, des moyens d'entrée (2) d'eau à traiter et des moyens de sortie (3) de l'eau traitée coopérant avec ledit carter (1) et une pluralité de moyens formant lampes UV (4), caractérisé en ce que lesdits moyens formant lampes UV (4) sont disposés à l'intérieur dudit carter de façon telle que l'axe longitudinal d'au moins certains d'entre eux forment un angle non nul et différent de 90° avec l'axe longitudinal dudit carter (1) essentiellement cylindrique.
