The invention relates to a water treatment device, comprising a housing provided with duct areas which are used to conduct the water to be treated. At least a first and a second electrode are accommodated in said housing. The first and second electrodes are alternately positive-poled and negative-poled. Electro-conductive material is introduced into the housing. In order to provide a water treatment device which can be operated on a permanent basis with a high degree of efficiency, the first and second electrodes are arranged in separate first and second electrode chambers which are insulated from each other by means of one or several insulating bodies, the electrode chambers are respectively filled with a bulk material consisting of a uniform granulated material, and the insulating bodies are pervious to water to be treated but are impervious to the granulates constituting said bulk material.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de traitement de l'eau comportant un boîtier présentant des zones de conduites destinées à guider l'eau à traiter, au moins une première électrode et au moins une deuxième électrode étant logées dans le boîtier. Les premières et deuxièmes électrodes présentent sont polarisées de manière alternée positivement et négativement, et un matériau électroconducteur est logé en vrac dans le boîtier. L'invention vise à exploiter un tel dispositif de manière durable avec un rendement élevé. A cet effet, les premières et deuxièmes électrodes sont logées dans des premières et deuxièmes chambres d'électrodes séparées, isolées électriquement l'une par rapport à l'autre au moyen d'un ou plusieurs corps isolants, les chambres d'électrodes sont respectivement remplies d'un matériau granulaire uniforme en vrac, et les corps isolants sont perméables à l'eau à traiter, mais imperméables au granulat de la matière en vrac.
