The invention relates to a water vapour plasma burner (7) for cutting a workpiece (21), comprising a feed line (8) for a liquid (9), a heating device (22) and an evaporator (23) for forming a gas (20) from the liquid (9), a cathode (24) detachably connected to a movably mounted piston rod (25) and a nozzle (26) with an outlet opening (27) for the gas (20), and relates to a method of wear detection and process control in the case of such a water vapour plasma burner (7). To create such a water vapour plasma burner (7) with detection of worn parts, at least one temperature sensor (28) is arranged in the piston rod (25), said sensor being connected to a control device (4), so that the recorded temperature values can be used as a basis for ascertaining wear of the cathode (24) and the nozzle (26) and so that the control of a water vapour plasma cutting process can be influenced.
L'invention concerne un torche à plasma à vapeur d'eau (7) destiné à couper une pièce (21), comprenant une conduite d'alimentation (8) pour un liquide (9), un dispositif de chauffage (22) et un évaporateur (23) pour former un gaz (20) à partir du liquide (9), une cathode (24) reliée de manière amovible à une tige de piston (25) logée de façon mobile, et une buse (26) présentant une ouverture de sortie (27) pour le gaz (20). L'invention concerne également un procédé de détection de l'usure et de régulation du processus pour une torche à plasma à vapeur d'eau (7) de ce type. Pour réaliser une telle torche à plasma à vapeur d'eau (7) avec détection des pièces d'usure, au moins un capteur de température (28) est disposé dans la tige de piston (25) et relié à un dispositif de commande (4), de manière à pouvoir identifier une usure de la cathode (24) et de la buse (26) à partir des valeurs de température détectées et à pouvoir influer sur la régulation du processus de coupe au jet de plasma à vapeur d'eau.
