A waterblown urethane foam base (10) having a flat seat portion (11) and a raised front portion (13) with angularly direct- ed valleys (22) and a raised pommel (20). The area beneath the front portion (13) is made more flexible and reduced in weight and is defined by a series of hollowed out areas (26, 27) separated by ribs (28) which support the top surface of the front portion (13) along with the front (29) and side walls (30) of the front portion (13).
