ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In a drill with an electric motor positioned within a motor space, air for cooling the motor is drawn in through an inlet manifold and discharged through an outlet manifold. The inlet and outlet manifolds are constructed to prevent the flow of water into contact with the motor. A hood-like deflector is provided over the entrance into the inlet manifold. Further, filters located within the manifolds remove any water in the air. A labyrinth air passage conducts the air from the inlet manifold into the motor space.
