A waterproof electrical plug suitable for use in a Christmas light bulb string has an excellent watertight performance and firm connection with electrical wires. The structural improvement primarily consists in an internal box provided with a lid to prevent water seepage. The internal box is further configured to have on its rear end a clamping portion and a protuberant hook portion. When the internal box is inserted into the housing of a plug, the clamping portion will firmly secure electrical wires, with the protuberant hook portion trapped by inwardly projecting blocks on the interior wall of the housing. With this arrangement, the invention can achieve its expected effect.
