WATERPROOFING AND HEAT-INSULATING MATERIAL Abstract of the Disclosure Waterproofing and heat-insulating material consisting of bitumen, comminuted rubber, thermoplasticized coal and asbestos, the components being used in the following propor- tions (in mass %): bitumen . . . . . . . . . 18 - 53 comminuted rubber. . . . . . 15 - 30 thermoplasticized coal. . . . . 5 - 55 asbestos. . . . . . . . . 11 - 13 The material has improved physico-mechanical properties. Thus, ultimate tensile strength is as high as 28.5 kgf/cm2, flexibility of the material in terms of double bendings is 39. Minimum temperature at which the material is still fle- xible when tested on a 10 mm diameter rod is -29°C. The ma- terial features low water absorption (water absorption rate is 0.03% at 20°C, 24 h). Heat conductivity of the material is 0.125 kcal/m.h.deg., specific heat capacity is 0.337 kcal/kg.deg.
