ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention is directed to adhesive, waterproof membranes capable of adhering to freshly poured concrete compositions upon curing. The waterproof membranes of this invention comprise a bituminous sheet having at least one major surface coated with a non-tacky polymeric coating composition which contains a water- insoluble polymer, and optionally a filler capable of absorbing or reflecting infrared or ultra violet radiation and/or a plasticizer. Suitable water-insoluble polymers for use in this invention include alpha-beta-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid polymers or polyvinyl alcohol polymers.
